We were on a motorcycle trip and were lucky enough to come across the Victoria hotel. Located off the beaten track, this is a wonderfully refreshing find.

Victoria Boutique Hotel stands on Molteno Street in Hofmeyr, between Cradock and Steynsburg in the Eastern Cape Karoo.
The hotel has been lovingly restored, with gilded mirrors, antique furniture, chandeliers and black-and-white floors throughout. Bedrooms are elegant and peaceful, with good linen and soft light.
Travellers on motorbikes, road-trippers and weekend guests all discover the same thing: Hofmeyr is worth the detour, and the Victoria makes it special.
